As the owner of Severino Law, I am accountable to no one other than my clients.
Having practiced law for over twenty years, and handling dozens of trials and arguing several appeals, I know what works and what doesn’t.
Over the years, I have spoken with many business owners. When they are being blunt, they usually express mistrust of lawyers and ask the same question: What value can you provide? In other words, how will I be better off with you?
I am a proponent of early mediation and arbitration because, frankly, most people aren’t interested in the finer points of American jurisprudence and simply want the issue resolved with the best possible result. Sometimes, that is not possible and trial ensues. Either way, I believe that a satisfied client is the best indicator of value.
I am only focused on business disputes, commercial litigation and construction law. Clients will not pay for an associate to learn the law, and will only talk to me. I don’t “dabble” in other areas of the law. I embrace alternate fee arrangements, and welcome contingency cases in the right circumstances.
